Gives A Smoother Pull While Preserving Reliability
Trigger/hammer kits feature rugged military-type components carefully prepped to give a smoother trigger pull while maintaining the original geometry for maximum reliability. These are “enhanced standard” triggers, so the armorer continues to work with the configuration he’s accustomed to. The QMS (Quality Mil-Spec) set has the sear contact surface precision-honed to smooth and lighten the pull to around 6½ lbs. The ACT (ALG Combat Trigger) adds nickel-boron coating on the trigger and nickel-Teflon coating on the hammer, disconnnector, and pins to increase surface hardness and reduce friction, with an average pull weight of about 6 lbs.
SPECS: Hammer/trigger – 8620 steel. Disconnnector – 1070 high-carbon steel. Hammer/trigger pins – heat treated 4140 chrome-moly steel. Both kits contain trigger, trigger spring, hammer, 2 hammer springs, disconnnector, disconnnector spring, hammer and trigger pins, and instructions.?

More trigger-per-dollar(12-04-2012)
I own this ACT trigger and installed another into one of my best friend's AR build. Mine went into my wife's AR15.
It is crisper and more consistent than ANY std mil spec trigger I have ever used. The coatings used are top notch and add a smoothness that is unattainable with std milspec triggers. THEN you add some grease (any gun grease, really) and it gets really impressive. The coatings mean fouling has essentialy ZERO effect on the feel. The ACT just stays smooth.
If you want to decrease trigger pull further, use a JP Enterprises Yellow trigger spring to reduce pull weight by about another pound, also available from Brownells.
However, keep the full-power hammer spring with the ACT trigger. It reduces lock time and increases accuracy and ignition reliability.
Lastly, the included oversized pins allow ZERO wobble in my wife's Charles Daly lower.
Good Information and Review(28-04-2012)
Great Description and information. Better triggers at better prices are needed. After all, they are all metal and do the same thing, just more quality needs to be built into triggers and the cost doesn't have to go over the moon to do it. Thank you.
Not that impressed(30-04-2012)
The parts are finished nicely, but when I dropped everything in tonight there was a bit creep prior to the break. I am not wowed by the trigger.
Just what I was looking for!(18-05-2012)
I wanted a smooth, trigger with a lighter trigger pull but I didn't want a full blown match trigger. After installing 3 sets of the ALG Combat Trigger in 3 three different pre-ban Bushmasters I can say this trigger set is exactly what I was looking for. The grittiness is gone and the pull weight is 5 to 5.5 pounds. Snappy trigger reset. Just about perfect.
Be aware the included trigger and hammer pins are slightly oversize but tap in easily. Out of curiosity I reinstalled the old pins and the fit wasn't sloppy. In a pinch I believe the old pins could be reinstalled and not walk while firing.
Recommended if like me you are looking for an improved trigger / hammer set without going to the expense of a match trigger.
Not so great(18-06-2012)
I guess I expected too much from this trigger. Bought it to replace a gritty mil-spec trigger with a 6.5# pull. The ALG trigger is smoother but the weight of pull is 8# plus. It is off the scale of my RCBS 8# trigger pull gage. I'll try a lighter trigger spring but I don't think it'll get it down to the claimed 6.5#.
OK Trigger(22-06-2012)
Installed on a Bushmaster carbine. Factory trigger had a lot of creep and hammer caming. This trigger still has creep, although not as much, but when it breaks it braeks cleanly, with positive reset. Pull weight averages 6 pounds. Not a Geisele trigger but a resonably priced replacement for a bad factory trigger. If you are looking for a zero creep, glass rod, this isn't it.
Can't Beat It For The Price(08-07-2012)
This is a fantastic trigger set for the price. Added the JPE yellow spring set to it, and man is it smooth, clean and crisp with very little over travel. It was very easy to install just removed the original springs and snapped the JPE set in their place and installed the new trigger setup in less than thirty minutes start to finish, really made a world of difference. Contrary to the instructions though, I did have to remove the safety selector. This trigger is a real major improvement over the factory one.
I would buy this product again.(03-10-2012)
I have been a gunsmith for 28 years. I have installed most triggers on the market for the ar-15 and m-16. This trigger keeps the function and safety of a milspec trigger without the mile of dirt road (creep) that usualy is aparent with other milspec triggrs. The coatings are slick and hard and the over size pins are great. For the mony you cant beat this product. Mariece Ward
ALG Combat Trigger(06-02-2013)
Using "The AR-15 Complete Assembly Guide" book (also available here) easily installed in minutes. As noted in another review, the saftey selector did have to be removed but it was aftermarket also and no big deal. The hint of adding a bit of lub is very good; seems even lighter than the advertised 6 lb but haven't measured it. What a great improvement over the OEM DPMS trigger! If you don't need a match trigger this is it.
Alternative to Expensive Triggers(11-05-2013)
My 24" target rifles have Jard triggers (3.5#) and the wife's has a match grade two-stage, but I can't afford to do that to every gun. This trigger is a great improvement over stock mil-spec without spending a bunch. The two sets I've installed both have a little creep but break pretty crisp and reset is short. A very smooth trigger for the money. I'm back for a couple more.
Outstanding Product(15-05-2013)
I have purchased several of these and they are the best aftermarket trigger under $200 I have encountered. They are clean and crisp out of the box without stoning or polishing, just oil and go.
Solid win for the consumer...(25-05-2013)
Substantial improvement over factory trigger in Colt LE6920. Safety removal unnecessary and .154 diameter pins are correct for current Colt carbines. If there is a better value upgrade for a trigger package, I haven't found it.
What a great trigger!(06-06-2013)
I have always been a if broke fix it kind of guy. The trigger this ALG trigger replaced was sloppy and that's after stone polishing it (twice) and putting after market springs on it. You can only go so far in removing creep and dirt road feel. This trigger is unreal for the money. Nearly all the creep is gone and what is there you really can't feel. Not a glass rod break but very-very crisp just the same. TY for a great product I will be buying more of these.
Excellent choice for military trigger(16-09-2013)
Wanted to stay with the military trigger for my carbine. This one pulls about the same weight as my DPMS but smooth and crisp. Operation is flawless. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends.
An accuracy upgrade(24-10-2013)
I have used these triggers in 4 AR builds. It eliminates the grittiness and excess travel in stock triggers. A perfect upgrade to enhance the accuracy of your AR. Perfect if you don't want a 2 stage trigger, or 2 1/2 lb. pull. GREAT!
The perfect standard trigger(14-01-2014)
Looks good, performs better. Very consistent for the type of trigger it is. It's not a $200 trigger so don't expect $200 worth of results, but if your stock trigger is just not cutting it and you can't afford a high end trigger, this one will be the best bang for your buck.
Great for the money(06-03-2014)
This is a fine trigger for a plinking AR, crisp light let off and all parts niboron. I have put several hundred rounds through the carbine and compared to my CMC it rates pretty close. My only problem is the slave pin that I wanted to save disappeared on my workbench.
number 2 and possibly more(10-04-2014)
for the money you wont beat it and after you try it won't want to try and beat it, easy to install, excellent trigger to upgrade mushy stock triggers, short reset, the pull weight doesn't feel like 6 lbs as it breaks very nicely
smooth, crisp with mushy reset(23-04-2014)
I wanted an upgrade to an RRA single stage trigger in a recent build, and after reading the reviews I bought this. Apparent build quality is fantastic and it fit perfectly.
The trigger pull is ridiculously smooth with a nice break, but the reset is soft and mushy. I'm used to the trigger in my 6920, which isn't as smooth but is plenty good with a crisp reset.
If you're like me and want a good trigger reset, this isn't for you. If that's not something that's needed or important to you (it's a personal preference), you cannot beat the value of this trigger.
For the price it can't be beat.(02-10-2014)
My new favorite AR trigger set. With a JP hammer spring added it easily makes a 4 pound crisp trigger spring with no fuss at all. No it's not a Timney or Geissele, it still has the stock reset and overtravel. If you need a match trigger buy one of those. But for about $50 over the cost of a stock parts set, it's a must have on every build now, save the most budget oriented.
performs as advertised(20-12-2014)
I installed this trigger on my Bushmaster, and it is a great improvement. The stock trigger was stiff with a gritty feel to the trigger pull. This trigger is smooth and even. No its not the candy cane like break that you hear about in more expensive triggers. but for the money this is a great trigger!! I was able to install it in less than an hour with the provided directions, and if I can do it then believe me it's not hard.
Spring Differences(28-12-2014)
I did as others have suggested and installed the JP Enterprises Enhanced Reliability Spring Kit and had a improvement of one pound as measured with a spring gauge. ALG springs 7# no creep or grit just a crisp clean consistent break, and JP spring produced a 6# identical break. This is a very functional combat trigger and at a great price, what more could you ask for.
Great Product!(04-03-2015)
It was like Christmas when my latest Brownell's order arrived. I immediately began installing the trigger in my Colt 6920. I followed the lubrication recommendations as I was installing it. Fantastic results. Yes, the trigger is around six pounds, but demonstrably better than the stock trigger. Clean break, no easily discernible creep. I will note that my pins did not seem oversized in the least. Highly recommended to anyone who doesn't want to drop the money needed for a match trigger, but wants an improvement over the stock trigger.
Great milspec trigger(18-03-2015)
My Colt 6920 came with a horrible trigger. I had no interest in a competition trigger. I wanted a quality milspec/combat trigger, and this is exactly what this trigger is. Absolutely superior to what my AR came with, without breaking the bank. This is the best $65 I spend on my AR.
This trigger is light years ahead of a stock mil spec trigger. It's built well, looks good, and it's a great value. These triggers are going into all my CQB rifles. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS TRIGGER! I considered buying it for way to long, I just doubted the write up about it, I thought that for the price it just can't be that good. I was wrong about that and just wasted time. Are there better triggers, sure, bUT it's a very good trigger at a very good price. If you want a good combat trigger, buy it.
great for the money(18-11-2015)
not much creep. smooth .seems well maid haven't fired yet but dry fires nice.not sure if I like the silver trigger . looks kina odd. but u know its not stock.
Bought this to replace very poor factory trigger in a Sig 516 patrol rifle. It fit very well and was easy to install. The pins fit the lower nicely. The result was a clean moderate (about 6lbs) trigger pull with no grittiness or creep. The kit comes with two springs and advises that the lighter spring may not work with military ammo or other hard primers. I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but will update when I do. This is a great upgrade for the money for bad factory AR15 triggers.
know what you are buying(12-01-2016)
If you want a smooth trigger with limited creep then this is a great deal. I am 100% satisfied. The trigger is just over 5LB's of pull which is exactly what i wanted. I installed it into my Sig Sauer MCX. Took maybe 10 minutes after break down. Trigger is very smooth as well. Feels great. Now if you are looking for a 3LB competition trigger then look elsewhere. I wanted a better trigger for regular use, not 600 to 1000 yard sniper range. My groups were much tighter than before. So glad I did not spend $200 to $300 on a 3LB trigger. To me there is a point that a super light trigger is dangerous. This trigger is the perfect balance for me.
By far the best sub-$200 trigger set.(17-01-2016)
VERY pleasantly surprised! I did as others and used the JP Enterprises spring kit and I'm getting a clean, crisp, consistent break at 4lbs. I have several AR types with a range of triggers from G.I. stock to high end two-stage, and for overall shooting (pig huts, varmints, weekend target shooting with my rather competitive friends) this has become my FAVORITE setup. I was concerned about the lighter hammer spring with hard primer ammo so I've been trading a few rounds with my friends. I've shot just about everything, including the cheapest Wal-Mart TulAmmo stuff. ~300rds and she's been absolutely 100% reliable.
Bought this for my latest AR build, couldn't be happier! Pull is crisp at consistent 5lb pull, which is exactly what I was looking for. Seriously considering upgrading my non-match ARs with this trigger. Can't beat the bang for buck on this trigger!
The Best Mil-Spec Trigger(25-04-2016)
I installed this on my Colt 6920. Even though this is still a mil-spec trigger, the boron and nickel plating eliminates the gritty pull you've come to expect from a standard trigger. It's so smooth that I don't feel any creep! The mil-spec pull weight is perfect for my fighting rifle.
For this price, you can't go wrong! Exceptional trigger quality and value!
DO IT.(12-07-2016)
Oh my goodness this trigger is fantastic! It has that good solid pull weight but when it breaks it breaks CLEAN! I own a Geissele SSA as well as a mil spec trigger, and my opinion is this ALG ACT is probably the best real world trigger everybody should have. It doesn't cost a car payment but gives the quality performance and reliability of a much more costly trigger. It is a single stage just like a regular, just without the creep and grit. You almost have to use it to appreciate what a wonderful thing this trigger is. I plan to keep the heavy mil spec spring in it; I tried the purple spring and it is stupid nice how it feels too, but the standard weight spring will be the go to. I love it.
Good trigger, nice price(02-05-2018)
I recently bought this trigger, and several days later bought the $165 Geissele trigger. Noticed both triggers have the same casting marks, and the Geissele came with the ALG âjuiceâ purple lube. So, curiousity, went to the ALG website and looked at the ownership. Guess what, Geissele. With changing a $7 spring, and $100 less cost, this is every bit as good as the $165 âon saleâ Geissele. Not as good as the higher end Geissele triggers, but good enough for precision target. I can buy two of these for the price of the lower end Geissele. And not much difference on trigger performance.
Is Exactly What It Is(09-04-2012)
Recieved two of these ALG trigger groups today, one for a repair, one for my own M-4 which had a very dirty triger pull.
Went in with no problems on both weapons, full check, every thing operated as it was suppose to, both rifle now have a 6 lb single stage grit and creap free trigger.
Just order 5 for stock.
Worth every cent!(12-04-2012)
If you're putting a lower together buy this trigger, If you have a gritty creepy trigger buy this. This thing is 99.5% creep free with no over travel. Breaks great. I was thrilled there is a trigger of this quility for [$] bucks available. Buy it trust me.
Best [$] ever spent for a AR part !!(30-04-2012)
Replaced a gritty M&P 15 trigger with the QMS and yellow JP springs. Pull now about 5 pounds,NO grittiness at all and take up feels a LOT crisper. Slave pin makes installing a snap, but my kit didn't come with grease. I used some TW-25 but a drop of CLP after installing made it even smoother !! The pins are perfectly machined and the contact surfaces of the parts are very well polished indeed.I didn't want to drop $150 (or more)for a "Match" unit, and this one feels GREAT.
Great buy(29-07-2012)
Fit was perfect, and installation was a snap. Trigger pull is smooth until the break, which was clean and crisp. I did, though, replace the trigger spring w/ the JP reduced power spring. After about 50 pulls w/ a rubber hammer stop in place, the pull is now exactly how I like it to be.
I think i'll pick up a ACT and another QMS to replace some other stock triggers. Also compare it to the Spike's enhanced trigger, which looks suspicously similar to the ACT.
Nice Mil Spec Trigger(08-08-2012)
Nice Mil Spec Trigger.... Smooth Break. Needs no polishing. Used a Red J&P Trigger Spring with Hammer Spring that with Trigger kit. Nicest Single Stage Mil Spec trigger I have installed. Slight Step above Stag Trigger... Miles better than ones that come with entry level LPK's.
LOVE IT!!!(16-08-2012)
MUST HAVE!! Started with basic AR lower trigger and was heavy and gritty and just not as good as the trigger kits I installed in ALL my other non-AR guns. Thing about ARs is you only have two choices for quality triggers. Expensive two-stage and expensive single-stage. I did NOT want a two-stage. I use this gun for target mostly but I wanted to keep it as close to mil-spec as possible on anything I do to it. So when I found out about a Geissele tuned mil-spec trigger for 1/4 the price of any other trigger I had to try it. I am so glad I did!! Pull weight is supposed to be 5.5-9.5 pounds. It's at the lower end for sure. It's so light and smooth, you have to go real slow and watch so carefully to see the trigger movement. My first dry fire test caught me so off guard, it scared me. If you want reliable, mil-spec and smooth operation, then get this trigger.
This is a great product(07-09-2012)
Parts dropped into my lower with no problems, trigger pull was great for my AR-15 build. Would buy them again.
ALG Trigger(20-10-2012)
I have installed 3 of these triggers and they are better than your factory gritty trigger. The first two I installed in two builds using Aero Precision lowers and used the supplied trigger/hammer pins. The third trigger I just installed in a Black Rain lower but did not use the supplied pins because the holes in the Black Rain lower were cut smaller and would not accept the slightly oversize ALG pins however I do not blame ALG for this. 2 out of the 3 triggers broke cleanly with no creep but the third did have a little but was much better then the factory trigger that was in it. I give 4 stars due to the third semi gritty trigger.
Good trigger(28-02-2013)
Nice trigger here. The feel is similar to a stock trigger but it is more smooth. Worth the money in my view, but a new shooter likely wont notice it.
Nice Price for a nice part.(07-03-2013)
Nicely manufactured. Great price. Received it within a week. Perfect fit. I did not use the trigger or hammer springs that came with it. They were very stiff. It's always good to have spares though. I did use the stiffer disco spring. It works exactly as I expected, perfectly.
Highly recommended(11-03-2013)
Bought this for my AR. Worth every penny. The original trigger in my AR was rough and had a ton of creep. This trigger set dropped in, with absolutely no modifications. Trigger pull is a consistent 6 pounds, with no creep and a crisp release. Trigger reset is right on the money, with no play. And it has a tight safety. The old trigger wouldn't fire on safe, but it still allowed enough movement in the trigger to make me nervous. Now with the safety on, there is no trigger movement at all.
Better Than I Expected(15-03-2013)
Based on the price I was only expecting modest improvements from installing this QMS AR-15 trigger set from ALG Defense. I was surprised how light, crisp and creep free the trigger now feels on my AR-15 after installation. I was originally intending to also upgrade the trigger and hammer springs, as well as installing an AR-15 trigger adjuster, but none of those are necessary now. This trigger set installed easily. Watching YouTube videos on the subject helped, as did owning a simple clamp-on table vise, and the right size non-marring delrin pin pusher. Some light hammering was necessary to uninstall the old stock trigger and hammer pins. Be aware that after installing this the trigger will feel much more like a single stage trigger, rather than a two stage trigger. My trigger pull is now much lighter than before, but not too light. I very much like the feel of that change, but some others potential users may not. Shipping from Brownells was quick, but their S&H is a bit high.
great trigger!(22-03-2013)
easy 10 min install, no creep, breaks clean. best upgrade for the money. absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a better trigger.
Well worth the money(11-05-2013)
I'm building a rifle on a budget, but I wanted to invest in things that matter, like the trigger group. This is an outstanding value for the money, clean break, no grit, no takeup. Paired it with JP Enterprises yellow spring set (452-000-007) for best results, however I kept the stock hammer spring for reliability. I'm impressed. Definitely recommend.
super trigger at a great price(12-05-2013)
super smooth trigger with a crisp break and no discernable creep. I bought and installed one in one of my Rock River receivers. Liked it so much I just ordered 2 more. Great quality for the price.
I bought one, but will buy more(25-06-2013)
I used this trigger for a build that I did for a friend. This is a great trigger, nice feel to it with no creep. Shot the rifle for function test and I could a feel the difference between this trigger and a standard Mil-Spec trigger. Very light pull to it. I do not use a pull gage, instead I go by feel and what the customer wants. if they like the feel, then that is all that matters. If they want a really light trigger, I will put something else in for them. I use to do my own trigger jobs. NOT anymore!!
OUTSTANDING UP GRADE(10-09-2013)
Replaced trigger group in Sig 400 and trigger group in custom built 300 AAC. Had ordered JP 4lb springs to install with this trigger. I did that in the SIG and the result was awful. Removed and re-installed as it was delivered. JP springs caused creep and grit and were no-where near 4lb.
After installing as this came from ALG the trigger pull was 3.75, the break was clean and there was no grit. I was afraid the hammer spring was to light for cheap wolf ammo. Just test fired and there was no problem at all.
When you compare prices this is really a deal. The results were the same in both the 5.56 SIG and in the 300 AAC which has a CMMG lower. I really can't say enough about this set up, except that I am ordering another for my 7.62X39. .
Talk About Crisp(16-10-2013)
Swapped a garbage stock trigger on a newish BCM lower for the QMS trigger. What can I say other than night and day difference. There is no slack or grit at all. Just a pure and crisp break.
Side note: I'll choose a LMT lower over BCM from here on out.
Great Improvement!(03-12-2013)
After assembling my lower with an RRA lower parts kit I was faced with a very hard, gritty and creepy trigger pull. Several hundred pulls of the trigger (onto a hammer drop block) did nothing to smooth it out. I read the overwhelmingly positive reviews and ordered the trigger set. After a simple install the difference is huge. I now have a crisp trigger with almost no creep. ALG makes a great product!!!
Very Nice(09-01-2014)
Installed in a AR-15 and LR-308. Very nice for the money! Installed in both rifles in about 5 minutes with no problems at all.
smooth and clean(29-01-2014)
current usage Target practice. Nice, smooth and clean action. easily installed(first time I've done any internal upgrade.) I would definately recomend this to anyone looking for a slightly lighter pull. Or looking to replace a factory unit that is "gritty" to pull. Excellent quality for the price point.
It is what they say it is .(01-03-2014)
This is what Mr.Geiselle says it is . A decent trigger. My trigger is basically free of creep, has good quality pins and springs. Pull weight is not much to write home about but for the $ but it is ok ? If you want to upgrade a junk trigger but cannot afford a $250 set , then this is for you .
Best Value. What an improvement!(08-05-2014)
I built a Delton lower using a low price kit. I then put a mid-length upper on it. Everything fit nicely and looked great. First time to the range and I realized how important the trigger is! The kit trigger was a bit like dragging your finger across coarse sandpaper. Terrible! The affordable QMS trigger totally changed the shooting experience. I still have a low cost build, but I now have an AR that is a pleasure to shoot.
It's A Keeper...(19-05-2014)
I use .156" JP Anti-Walk Pins for everything and the pins fit the ALG hammer and trigger bores perfectly. However JP Pins require removing the hammer J-Spring and unfortunately when I pried up on the ALG J Spring to straighten it a bit the end snapped off. I've removed a half dozen or so mil-spec J-Springs in the past and the wire was very tough with never any fear of breaking. I wound up drilling the wire through the hole where it is flattened to prevent it from falling out. Fortunately gravity removed the longer portion of the J-wire but the short portion had a burr and it was not going to drop through. I wound up using a punch to knock the short piece out from the side. I also lightened the hammer slightly by removing the small hump portion on its top and added a clean looking radius. And I also shimmed the hammer .005" each side and the trigger .006" each side. The trigger has a short smooth take up and breaks clean. The safety is on the tighter side but allows enough trigger travel to stage the trigger, flip off safety, aim and fire. Overall the ALG is a very nice, easier to pull setup for the money whether you do mods or not.
WOW!(25-09-2014)
This QMS Trigger Set is one of the best Mil-Spec Triggers out there. This is the first Mil-Spec trigger that I have not had to polish and clean up. You can't get any better than this. Ok except for maybe the ALG ACT Trigger. ALG Trigger sets are going to be the only Mil-Spec triggers I'll install and recommend.
Good upgrade for patrol rifle!!!(08-11-2014)
I was not liking the factory trigger in my BCM rifle. NOT a slam on BCM!! But, this trigger is about the best $50 one can spend on a rifle. It is mil-spec, and thus likely fits within the confines of most any agency's policies and regs. Is it a match trigger? far from it. It is just a smooth, polished predictable trigger that allow positive ignition of all ammo I have run through the rifle. Buy with confidence!!
Great Low Buck Upgrade!(18-05-2015)
I came across a thread about the ALG QMS trigger kit after doing a GOOGLE search for AR15 trigger upgrades. After reading rave reviews for the QMS I figured it was worth risking the $45. I was not disappointed, the QMS trigger eliminated the creep and gritty feeling of my cheap LPK trigger and installation was a breeze. Overall I would rate this product as a very good value...
Great trigger for a great price(15-07-2015)
Easy to install, done with no tools. No creep, crisp break, short pull.
Drag(07-10-2015)
Thank heavens it was only $45. Some improvement over the mil-spec that it replaced but not as much as I hoped. Still a nasty bit of trigger creep which adversely affects the tightness of the groups. I'll re-install the mil-spec group that I polished with 2000-grit and see how that performs.
Very nice(03-01-2016)
I have 2 ARs and just bought one to see if I liked it. I first put it in my 20" Double Star, but didn't notice much difference. Then I put it in my 16" AR that I built using a DPMS lower parts kit. I noticed a world of difference with that gun. It feels like a completely different gun now.
you'll love it(13-01-2016)
I put one of these with in a PSA lower with a set of JP enterprises springs. I went from 2-3 inch groups at 50 yards to under an inch, with cheap Wolf ammo. I will put one of these in every AR I build or I buy from this point forward. I don't competitively shoot and if you shoot well, you'll do better than I can. For the price this trigger really can't be beat.
Unexpected poor performance(22-07-2016)
I purchased 2 of the ACT triggers and was pleased, as both were a significant improvement over the factory triggers in my AR's. After reading the reviews on the QMS trigger and figuring it was $20.00 cheaper I thought I would take a chance. After installing the QMS, I was somewhat surprised that it was worse than the factory trigger. It had more creep and was only slightly easier to release. Pulled it and put the original trigger back in. If I purchase another ALG trigger in the future, it will be an ACT. Unless I just got a bad trigger, I'm surprised at so many positive reviews
A nice upgrade for a good price(06-01-2018)
Barely perceptible creep, very smooth, clean/crisp break, and the pull weight is just right for me: not too heavy, not too light. I wanted something that was just a little bit of an upgrade from a stock milspec trigger, and this was perfect. Not that installing one of these triggers is difficult, but the fact that the parts were already assembled in the package made it even simpler, and the inclusion of a slave pin was a nice touch that made installation a breeze.
Slam Fire!(21-08-2018)
I installed this trigger in a suppressed PSA 9MM carbine (which worked flawlessly for the several months I've owned it). I originally used the included lighter hammer spring but was getting frequent Failure to Fires - light primer strikes. I swapped that spring out for the heavier spring and test fired the gun. The first few shots were fine, then the gun went uncontrolled full auto until the 20 round magazine was empty! I returned to my shop, dismantled the gun and everything appeared normal. After a thorough cleaning I returned to my range and tried again. Bam...Bam...Bam...BAMBAMBAMBAMBAM - full auto again! I concluded that the gun was slam firing based on the deformed cases I picked up off the ground. I reinstalled the original trigger and everything was back to normal with no malfunctions whatsoever. So...perhaps this trigger is simply not suitable for blowback guns?
