Ultralight drop in fit(16-07-2012)
Simple simple simple install, no fitting needed at all. The dimensions fit the factory stock perfectly and no sanding required to fit the factory receiver. My 1022 tactical is so light now, it's a dream to handle and you give nothing up in accuracy. I got a dime size group at 25 yards on a bipod. Also love how quickly it dissapates heat, even with rapid fire mag dumps. Well worth the money and so far the only company I've found to have an aluminum factory tapered barrel.
Nothing like it anywhere...(08-09-2013)
There are simply NO factory taper aluminum barrels other than the Beyer ultralight...Not only is it the lightest barrel you'll ever find, it's also very accurate...I can shoot MOA with a (receiver bedded) FOLDING STOCK (yes, seriously) and with a 12x scope @ 50 yards with standard velocity ammo (CCI SV/Eley Match). For a lightweight/hunting rifle, it is one of the lightest and most accurate barrels available...Icing on the cake is it's even made from 7075 aluminum whereas most others are 6061...Will be trying a .920 Beyer barrel next...Well worth it...
You'll be glad you ordered(27-10-2015)
These barrels are well known for accuracy. The lightweight is a huge advantage, and 7075 aluminum is top of the line.
What the other reviews missed is that Beyer Barrels is an excellent small business to support. They stand behind their products and they strive for excellence. The result speaks to quality without compromise.
I hesitated before ordering, considering that I'm paying a lot of money for a barrel for a low-cost platform (10/22 TD). But the fun factor of this thing, and making the rifle a little more special, adds up to good value.
There's a risk of raising expectations, but if you do order a Beyer barrel, I think you'll be impressed. An excellent way to reduce weight without any sacrifice in accuracy. This review is for the factory taper. Competition shooters may want to try the bull barrels.
Great(15-03-2018)
Used for my under 4lbs with scope build. Great workmanship and great accuracy expecially for any barrel add that it is an ultra lightweight barrel and you cannot beat it. I contacted the maker with a question about how his barrels like to be bedding (floating or slight pressure) he responded to my email quickly (floated) and with a phone number and told me to contact him with any questions.

all i have to say is awsome(18-11-2012)
fantastic barrel it shoots awsome i could shoot the bullseye out at fifty yard. if i built another 10/22 i would buy this barrel again. I would recomend to any one thinking about buy this barrel it is worth the $$$.I am very pleased.
disapointed(12-04-2013)
bought the barrel from Brownells, got a good price and prompt delivery, five stars for brownells service. the barrel i had was a B.C. steel barrel about 20 inches long (not made anymore) and could shoot about a 3/8 diameter hole with 5 rounds at 30 yards with bulk ammo. I wanted a threaded barrel for my supressor so i ordered this Barrel thinking it was a good deal. You honestly do get what you paid for, accuracy at 25 yards from the rest using the same ammo was disapointing to say the least, out of five shot groups all were about 1/4" to 3/8" from each other none of them touching. about a 1 1/2" to 2" group at 25 yards consistently. not good accuracy at all and had very tight threads. swapped back to old B.C. barrel and consistently shot 3/8" 5 round groups at 30 yards again, making one small raged hole. I would not recomend this barrel at all, save your money.
Excellent product and company.(10-09-2013)
I recently built two 10/22 rifles for my dad and I, both installed with Beyer Barrels. I used the 16.5" threaded model and they shoot fantastic. So far I have about 300 rounds through each and groupings are very tight at 50 yards using a variety of ammo...standard velocity and subsonic is what I've tested so far.
I've never had a gun/barrel with the "Cerekote" finish, as of now it looks great but neither rifle has seen any hard use. I can't give a my opinion on the finish until more time has passed.
In regards to company service: I needed to get some thread protectors for each barrel and I called the company direct, Mr. Beyer picked up personally and took care of everything. He answered a couple questions I had and was very polite, will do business with again no doubt.
Great Barrel(25-03-2016)
I ordered this barrel to upgrade my 10/22. I had a question during the installation and called the manufacturer. My call was answered by Mr Beyer himself. He quickly answered my questions. The installation went very smoothly. After I installed this barrel, I shot a 4 shot group from 50 yards that could be completely covered with a nickel. I am very pleased with this barrel, and recommend it to my friends.
Great barrel, be patient when installing(07-05-2016)
This barrel is of excellent quality and made in the US by a small business. I have one of the dreaded "painted" receivers...factory barrel removal was difficult and installation of the Beyer barrel wasn't much better. This is no fault of the barrel, but of difficult conditions in the receiver.
Once installed, the barrel performed great. I'm no expert shot, but even I was able to keep the shots in a dime at 25 yards in 20mph winds. The ceramic finish is excellent and fit in my Hogue stock is excellent. Weight and balance with a 3-7 power scope is near perfect. I'm well pleased and would buy this barrel again without hesitation.
Good stuff...(15-12-2009)
I have two Beyer barrels, one in .22 and one in .17HMR. Both as accurate as the best chamber/barrels I have owned as a varmint getter...and I have owned the best (not supposed to mention names in reviews but retailing over $350 and worth it). My .17 has dime sized groups at a hundred yards and has killed a couple hundred dogs last spring in a 10/22 magnum. You won't go wrong.
Very accurate...(15-12-2009)
I am a gopher (sage rat) shooter in MT and have switched to this barrel from XYZ as I could not thread the carbon fiber barrel. It is as accurate as my old match bull barrel and light and accurate as my carbon fiber. I use Win Power Points and can burn a half to 5/8 hole 10 shot hole at 50 yards. I use it on a folding stocked 10/22 with 25 rd mags (grandkids reloading)and really like the lightweight and the rigidity in one. Good stuff...also have their .17 in 10/22 mag...incredibly accurate. Does not get better. Great chambering.
Great Barrel(25-02-2010)
I have 3 10-22's. One stock, one heavy barrel from XYZ, and one Beyer barrel 10-22. I though my XYZ HEAVY barrel was good, this one is even better and weighs nothing. Actually bought a complete 10-22 from Mr. Beyer at a gun show with a trigger job he did. All I have to say is wowow!! This gun out shoots my bolt action heavy barrel with an adjustable trigger. Can't wait to Gopher shoot with it!
AWESOME BARREL(31-03-2011)
BEYER YOU ARE AWESOME THIS BARREL IS VERY LIGHT THIS IS MY SECOND 10/22 I'VE BUILT WITH THIS BARREL IT HAS A VERY NICE FINISH, VERY NICE MACHINING, I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THIS BARREL, I'M PLANNING TO BUILT A FEW MORE 10/22 WITH THIS BARREL THAT'S HOW MUCH I LIKE THIS BEYER BARRELS.
Great Barrel(09-05-2011)
I put one of these on my 10/22 and can't believe how accurate it is. It was a real easy install, lightweight, shoots awesome and I'm getting much tighter groups then I ever imagined. You won't be unhappy with this barrel. If you're looking for a light, super accurate, bull barrel this is it.
Best .22 barrel I have used.(11-09-2011)
Bought one of Clint's barrels to put together an AR-22 project. Excellent one hole results at 50 yards. I was quite taken aback to find that it liked Rem thunderbolts better than any of the other 10 types of .22lr ammo I tried (including wolf, sk, Rem target, Win t22, and Fed gold metal). Don't misunderstand, all shot less than .5 in at 50, but when you can do it with ammo that costs $12 a brick, you can save the expensive stuff for matches.
Superb barrel that won't break the bank(14-10-2012)
I bought this barrel after reading some of the reviews, and I gotta say is the best bang for your buck. Very easy to install. Visually appealing. Lightweight. Fine worksmanship. I can shoot dime sized groups all day from a rest, with match grade ammo at 50 yards.
BUY A BEYER BARREL!(04-09-2018)
I wanted a tack-driving light weight rifle that could be used for target shooting and hunting. My build has the Ruger 10/22 upper receiver, a Beyer 16.5" barrel, a Leupold 4X12 AO scope, Tally rings, a plastic camo Ruger stock, and a Ruger BX trigger group. It weighs right at 5 lbs. It's pure joy to see this rig turn in 5 shot one hole group time after time with the ammo it likes. Admittedly, I am shooting only 25 yards indorrs, but that's what I've got. Still tiny groups again and again..
