We believe the Sinclair Concentricity Gauge is the easiest to use and most accurate gauge of its kind on the market. Precision made for a lifetime of use, the Sinclair Concentricity Gauge will accept cases up to 50 BMG. The Sinclair Concentricity Gauge is used to measure runout by rotating the case or loaded round on two sets of bearings that are captured in anodized aluminum blocks. These bearing blocks are adjustable longitudinally to allow for different case lengths or varying lengths of loaded rounds. The handloader can measure sized cases on the neck, and measure loaded rounds on the neck or out on the bullet. The bearing blocks ride in a milled slot in the gauge base plate. This milled slot keeps the blocks in alignment with each other. This arrangement provides the best support for the cartridge, enabling the user to spin the cartridge smoothly. Large thumb levers on the bearing blocks make adjustments quick and easy. The anodized base plate is extremely stable allowing the user to take accurate readings. The indicator tower is designed to permit vertical and side-to-side adjustment of the dial indicator. The mounting block for the dial indicator is designed to accommodate dial indicators with standard 0.375" mounts. This is a quality measuring tool for the serious precision reloader.

The only way to tell(18-12-2010)
Tells if your hand loading or just reloading
"Sinclair got this one right"(07-10-2011)
This gauge will show you what you are doing right or wrong with your reloading process and new brass or ammo. I spent the extra $$ for the Digital Indicator so I could zero the gauge on the lowest reading point "low spot" and look at easy to read numbers, instead of "counting marks" on the regular dial gauge for the run out. This is the kind of "trick toy" used in aerospace ind. Accurate, repeatable, easy to use and fast.
Needs a Back Light(11-01-2015)
This is one of the most useful items I have picked up in awhile. I love the digital gauge because it can be zeroed at any point you pick. For run out I zero it at the lowest point and can read the run out directly. The display is hard to read because there is no back light. I understand it would eat batteries if the back light was left on but it sure would be nice to be able to have it there to turn on and off. I went ahead and gave it 5 stars despite this because the everything else more than makes up for this little detail. If you have that gun that just does not want to group right, this can more than likely show you why.
Great Product!(18-02-2011)
I'm impressed with this tools simple, sturdy, accurate design. But I was very dissappointed when I first measured a batch of reloads. The runout was awful! After a lot of thinking it occurred to me that I was using new brass, which has lots of small dents and dings that are not straightened out by the FL Sizing Die. My confidence was restored however when I measured reloads that used fire formed brass, which were either PN Sized or FL Sized. I use it all throughout my reloading process to pinpoint where runout is being introduced. Then I change my process. I can usually keep runout down to within +/- 0.001" now.
I would recommend this product to anyone(01-04-2011)
I use it to check concentricity of cases and loaded rounds.very simple to use ,easy operation and accurate.
Great Product(14-04-2011)
Works as advertised and does it well. Only problem is it showed my reloading skills need work.
must have(16-04-2011)
A must have for the precision loader. Easy to set up and highly accurate!
Made in China(17-06-2011)
I was very disappointed that the dial indicator was made in China. The base unit itself seems rock solid though.
useful tool(10-10-2011)
wish dial was made in america..works great.. back roller has a stop bar and it would be great if it was adjustable to allow you to move it back or forth where you want it
Top notch Quality(29-12-2011)
My custom build wasn't performing up to my expectations. The only think I could think of was run out. Hence, I ordered the Sinclair Concentricity Gage with the dial indicator. The problem was found immediately. Some of the rounds were eccentric by .006 and need to be scrapped. On to my new Lapua brass, all 200 cases are within .0005, perfect start. Being that I own other indicators, Starret and Interapid last word indicators from my mold making days, I know quality. The indicator that comes with the unit is a very nice indicator. It is by no means a piece of junk. It has tight tolerances and a super smooth mechanism. The base and blocks are also very well thought out and the fit and finish on the entire gage is superb. Heavier than what it looks. Well worth the price. Best of all, I got my answers.
Also works as a bullet sorting stand.(06-02-2012)
As a concentricity gauge it works great, but takes a little bit of practice to get used to. I like to check my necks and bullet runout with it. I also take my Sinclair hex comparator and place it on the base behind the case rollers. I can then swing the indicator over the comparator, drop a bullet in and use it as a sorter. Great tool, well made and versatile.
Bent Bullet Shooting(01-12-2012)
Military surplus ammunition's' bullets are not straight. Rolling them on a egocentricity gauge until the highest or lowest points are identified and then marking these points allows the shooter to insert the bullets so that they are all in the same direction in the chamber. This cuts down on the impact dispersion. A fun tool to use and a useful one at that. [Nothing to Disclose]
Great tool(13-11-2013)
Works great. Only problem is after checking a few loads I had to order a set of L.E. Wilson dies because my RCBS neck dies aren't making it.
Well built easy to use tool.
Very Disappointed - poor design(30-05-2014)
The quality of the product is excellent. Very well made, strong and durable. For me the fault lies in the design. A cartridge lying across the bearings has nothing to support the meplat when the indicator is lowered. Very difficult to get consistent readings. Mine goes back tomorrow in exchange for a Forster
Tool could be much better!!!!!(03-01-2015)
This is a very well built product however, It is VERY difficult to use. I fought with it for about a box of reloaded .308 and gave up. You need at least 3 hands to use this tool. I never could get consistent measurements. The cartridge slips around on the bearings. And there are not instruction on how to remove the run out. I sold it on Gunbroker and bought a Hornady concentricity tool and I like it a lot.
I must say I am disappointed in Sinclair for selling a marginal tool like this. .
Impossible to align(28-07-2015)
Impossible to align indicator arm to center-line of cartridge. There is so much slack in the armature that when you tighten the screws to lock the indicator and height, it ratchets the armature so that it is impossible to center the indicator arm over the case or bullet center-line. Itâs not usable for 30 caliber or less due to this excessive offset. One solution would be to lengthen the tower arm and through hole offsets so that you could rotate the tower arm to guarantee alignment. Others gave good reviews, maybe I just got a bad one.
Extremely Excellent Tool(10-05-2016)
The product takes just a bit of practice to perfect, but once you learn how to use it, with a technique that works for you, it is simply excellent. For me, I use my left index finger to spin the bullet, While using my right index finger to lightly stabilize the bullet when I lift my left index finger off the bullet during the spinning cycle. The sliding bullet rests with the bearing cradle are infinitely adjustable. It is much more accurate than some of the other products on the market. It really is perfect with just a little bit of practice.
Customer Service is Otstanding(23-05-2016)
I bought my gauge at least 15 years ago, and called Sinclair's CS today to get a part. Jackie accessed my old purchase data and without further ado Valeria sent a replacement part at no charge. Wow!
Sears used to be like this, Dillon Precision still is, and we are blessed to have another vendor of integrity among us.
About the gauge: it revealed that my reloads had 2-3 thousandths run-out. I did some reading and changed my seating technique to half-seating each bullet, then rotating the case 180 degrees for final seating. The large majority of my loads are now within .001", and I used the gauge to sort match loads from practice loads.
I've gotten interested in long-range precision rifle competition recently, so the gauge will again be an integral part of my ammo prep.
Disappointing Attention To Detail(18-01-2018)
Yes I knew it would come with a less than desirable Chinese Dial Indicator. Bent and rusted dial markers was worse than inticipated. Now I donât know what exactly this blue tinged dust which coated the base was, but I wiped everything down with KROIL. Then all the dings and scratches appeared. Is this the new Sinclair standard of excellence?
After many years of hand loading, I am ramping up to loading match ammo and I needed a concentricity gauge. Sinclair has a good rep and this one was on sale, so I took the plunge and ordered one. To be honest, at the price I paid, I expected the included dial indicator to be a piece of junk. It did not disappoint. Not China's finest work, but I spent some time working on it and it will do for now. I'll replace it with a good one later. The mount shaft on the indicator measured .375", which is standard. The two holes in the cross support fitting measure .377", so the indicator fits the support with very little slop, which is good for accuracy. The tool's vertical post, on the other hand, measured .371", which allows a lot of slop when the cross support is slid into place. This is NOT good for accuracy at all. I ended up wrapping the post with a layer of cellophane tape to increase the diameter. That eliminated most of the slop and made the tool usable. The four captured steel balls are polished nicely and allow brass cases to roll relatively freely. The down side is the balls do not provide a secure rest and a little clumsiness will roll the case right off the tool. Total attention is required to make sure the brass case is held on the tool correctly and rolled smoothly. Using both hands helps! With the repairs and improvements I made, and a little self training, I am able to get accurate readings....if I pay attention. My recommendation is to buy a better tool unless the price for this one is too attractive to pass up. If that is the case, buy this tool without the indicator and add your own quality one.
Well Built, easily adjustable gage base(30-09-2015)
Bought this base minus gage head (I have a couple Starrett AGD indicators in the toolbox). The arm fits any AGD stem dial indicator from any manufacturer... If you already possess an indicator head, why buy another.....
Accuracy depends on the indicator increments, in my case I used an LSS 0,005 head.
Simple to set up and use by rolling the case on the ball bearing stands and using the back pin to locate the neck under the gage arm (wiich is adjustable) as well.
Solid and well made, a good addition to any loader concrened with case neck concentricity.
As spoken of in precision loading lure..(01-11-2015)
Get it? got it?.... good! this is high quality, and fits the bill well.
